Regarding today's SCOTUS decision about Humanitarian Parole
Thoughts from Ade Ferro, Director of Partnerships at Latino Victory and the Executive Director of the Venezuelan American Caucus
It is important to clarify this: today’s SCOTUS decision comes as a result of the appeal filed by the Trump administration. This ruling is a direct consequence of the Trump administration’s decision to revoke humanitarian parole.
This policy is not just an attack on legality or legal security—it’s an attack on family reunification and on the hope of thousands of people who, after years of separation, were finally able to embrace their children, their parents, their siblings once again. Thanks to humanitarian parole, families that had been fractured by violence, repression, or extreme poverty finally found a path to rebuild their lives. And now, that effort is at risk. This decision threatens to rip apart the family bonds that were just beginning to heal.
This isn’t some abstract immigration policy debate—we’re talking about children who could once again be separated from their parents, about workers who are already contributing to their communities, about people who fled horror and finally found a bit of stability.
What’s most alarming is that this isn’t a debate about unlawful entries or violations of the law. This offensive is aimed specifically at those who have complied with everything the system asked of them. It is, in essence, a betrayal of the promise of a fair and humane process.
Moreover, it’s clear that the ultimate goal of this policy is to strip these individuals of their legal status in order to make them targets for deportation. That has always been the true intention of this administration: to force people into illegality in order to justify their removal—regardless of the fact that they entered legally, with approved documents, and after rigorous background checks.
We will see them in court. We are not giving up.

Keep fighting! They all deserve every right to be here and be with family! It's really sickening what this administration is doing and to not follow the rule of law makes it even more sickening!
This is SCOTUS allowing Trump to deport 500,000 + immigrants. This is what the Regime figures is an easy BULK target group to feed statistical flesh to its rabid MAGA base. It is sickening. It is unAmerican. The President is insane.
